In a unexpected crossover event that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.
The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana in addition to several objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
